The high-purity aqueous urea solution TotalEnergies AdBlue is specially formulated for use in diesel engines equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology, allowing the transformation of nitrogen oxides (NOx) into harmless nitrogen and water vapor to comply with pollutant emissions control standards.

Technical characteristics

• Type: High-purity aqueous urea solution (DEF / Diesel Exhaust Fluid).

• Composition: 32.5% high-purity urea and 67.5% deionized water.

• Emissions reducing agent: Injected into the exhaust line before the SCR catalyst to convert toxic NOx gases into elemental nitrogen and water vapor.

• Physical properties: Colorless liquid, with a mild characteristic odor, completely soluble in water and biodegradable.

• Purity guarantee: Formulation strictly elaborated under the international standard ISO 22241, preventing contamination by minerals or heavy metals.

• SCR system protection: Prevents premature crystallization, injector clogging, and degradation of the reduction catalyst.

Recommended use

• Exclusive use in dedicated tank: Do not mix or pour directly into the diesel fuel tank. It must only be applied in the vehicle's AdBlue® / DEF tank.

• Contamination prevention: Keep funnels, nozzles, and containers completely clean before refilling to prevent dust or mineral particles from entering the system.

• Storage: Keep containers tightly closed in dry areas, at temperatures between -5 °C and 25 °C, away from direct sunlight.
